Ash Firewood Network

The Alcona Conservation District is excited to announce the beginning of the Ash Firewood Network. The goal of this network is to connect those who own dead ash tree that they would like to sell or give away to those who cut firewood for heat, loggers, or anyone who wants ash for any purpose.

If you own dead ash or are looking for ash to cut, please call District Forester Eric Brandon @ (989) 335-1056 to join the network and begin connecting with local residents. The Alcona Conservation District is looking to help folks deal with the complex issue of emerald ash borer killed trees by helping remove these trees and ideally replant where possible with non-ash species.

The Alcona Conservation District is acting strictly as a third party consultant and public service provider and is not liable as a fiduciary, negotiator or arbiter. The District will work with individual landowners to design firewood contracts that protect everyone’s personal and property safety.
