Alcona Conservation District is ready to help connect you with the resources you need to make your forested property a more beautiful, productive and healthier habitat for wildlife and recreational enjoyment.  If you're curious about timber management activities, forest health concerns, available cost-share programs, sustainable forest practices, or maybe just want to find out what some of the possibilities for your forested land might be, we're here to provide direction and education. Just give us a call at 989/724-5272 or write to us by clicking on "Contact Us"  or going to the Contact Us Page

The National Association of Conservation Districts has recently published a 12 page booklet outlining the 2008 Farm Bill, and how it relates to woodland owners. The pamphlet, named "The USDA Farm Bill: What's in it for Woodland Owners," is available to anyone interested in learning about the opportunities available. The PDF file is available at this link:  NACD
