ALCONA CONSERVATION DISTRICT
2021 NATURAL RESOURCE OPINION SURVEY
(Conservation Needs Assessment)

The Alcona Conservation District is responsible for assessing local natural resource concerns; then prioritizing and establishing an action plan to engage private landowners and units of government toward addressing those concerns.

The people of Alcona County have spoken! Over one hundred questionnaires were returned.

The top resource concerns are as follows:

1) Surface/Groundwater Protection
2) Renewable Energy
3) Climate Change
4) Invasive Species/Biological Diversity
5) Wildlife Management

Forestry and Sustainable Farming were also high on the list of concerns.

Thank you, everyone, for your feedback!
